So my computer (the one in my signature) is a 10 year and 2 month old business computer and I want to know if changing the thermal paste would be the best way to go considering my max temp is 69 degrees C with light web browsing and the case has lots of airflow and is completely cool.

The CPU is an Intel Core i5-2400 @ 3.10 GHz

Thanks all

250 GB Crucial MX SSD (OS and Programs)

2TB Seagate Desktop Hard Drive (Documents and VMs)

I can't say definitively that it's the best course of action, but if the thermal paste has never been changed, then you could see a decent improvement in thermals by doing that. 10 years is more than enough to sufficiently dry out paste to the point that it no longer properly conducts heat.

Thanks- I ordered some Cooler Master paste so it should do better than the dried out Dell stuff!
