Reservoir Defoamer/Flow Buffer

Ty34er

I'm planning custom water cooling for a case I'm making and the reservoir I bought has a built in "defoamer" or flow buffer (original link vs similar looking photo below). It looks built in so I don't think I can remove mine.

Should it be used on the reservoir inlet, reservoir outlet, or just avoid it? I could probably get away with not using it.

Looks like it supposed to go on the underside of the lid. Id use it assuming it didnt come with a tube to use instead. Assuming the res is filled all the way.

yea looks like it should be inside the reservoir,

on the res exit end where it outputs to your pump

For reference, it was preinstalled on one side like this. There is no long tube like fonzz1e has shown on the "input" side.

Then order a tube or use it like they expect you to.
