Hi there!

Longtime lurker, first time poster....

So just purchased a new fan controller NZXT Sentry 2, and goin to purchase some new fans soon for the front hard drive cage and the rear of the case  on my Fractual Design R4 (AF or SP cosair series unsure what to get)

and was wondering about what would be the best layout.

Im currently using the stock fan in stock layout on the back, and front fans are 1 stock fan and 1 random fan as the stock one broke a fin.

Got an h100 on the top fan spots running a push through from the bottom config , seems to work fine.

so for the back fan, which way should i put it? and also looking at adding a thin 120mm fan at the bottom to cool the gfx cards etc, should i put that in push or pull?

Thanks in advance.

Put basically all your fans in the case as intake fans and your H100 as exhaust fans. The rear fan pulling air in will give the H100 some fresh air to play with and if you put a fan in the floor it will blow fresh air straight at the gpu which is always good.

Another benefit is that you will have good positive air pressure, meaning you have more air being drawn into the case via fans than being blown out, Meaning that excess air will naturally find its way out of the case via the ventilation holes and not give dust as much of a chance to settle inside your case, making cleaning that little bit easier :)

As for which fans to get. AF series fans for your case fans, SP series fans for the H100 :)

Thanks , Already got Gentle Typhoons on my radiator... so thats sorted, will look into the 140mm AF's now

Gentle Typhoons are much better than the Corsair SP fans, Just assumed you were looking at corsair fans for the radiator as well :) happy shopping!
