After configuring and building systems for several friends and family members, I'm finally building my own system, yay!

Das Specs:

Case: CM HAF-XB

CPU: i7 2700k (out dated but still perfectly competent)

Cooler: CM Hyper 212 EVO 

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3

GPU: MSI GTX 670 Power Edition

RAM: 16GB Ripjaws X Series PC3-12800 (2X8GB)

PSU: Corsair CX 750W

HDD : Western Digital 1TB

Optical drive: LG 16x combo drive

Cost $850

Peripherals 

Acer 24" LED monitor

Asus Orion Pro headset

Razer Blackwidow Ult. 2013

Razer Deathadder 2013

Total cost ~ $1200

Just waiting on the CPU and motherboard, I should have them by the week's end.

Looks good. I recommend grabbing an ssd when they are on sale.
