Hi, I’m new here and I apologize if this is the wrong area, but I’m looking for assistance in identifying the best parts for a project.

I am building a gaming table that I can raise and lower a distance of 3’. The tables gross weight is 12.5 lbs. and I would expect approximately another max 10 lbs would ever be on top.

It will be mounted to the wall with linear rails:

my plan was to us a belt system to raise and lower on 3d printer pulleys like these:

https://www.amazon.ca/20Teeth-Timing-Aluminum-Bearing-Printer/dp/B072JVN8PP/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=3d+printer+pulley&qid=1630448687&sr=8-4

but I still need to find a motor that will lift everything.

Also the I am wanting to have the main position located at the top. So the table stores at the ceiling, and then can be lowered down when I want to play. I can alway add manual support blocks at the top if needed, but would prefer not to have to.

I’m wanting to supply the system power though a 110 house outlet, so will probably need a power supply unit and direction buttons also.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Seems like your overcomplicating buying a premade sit/stand desk actuator system or using a linear actuator.

This video might be similar to what you're doing (just in reverse?)

He uses linear actuators as @AnonymousGuy said.

Good intro video -

I looked into linear actuators but they seem like over kill for my load weight (total maybe 25 lbs) and the price is a little higher than I’d like.
