So what do you recommend?

First: please be sure to use the quote feature on the forum when replying to a specific person. That gives us notifications and makes it clearer just who you're responding to.

As for recommendations, a few questions:

Desktop or laptop? It sounds like you want a desktop, but this will greatly help our recommendations.

What else do you intend to do with the system? Do you want the option to play other, more technically demanding games, or perform other intensive tasks like editing video or livestreaming?

How futureproof do you want the system to be?

Are you comfortable buying from smaller shops, or would you prefer to buy from major companies like Alienware (Dell), HP or similar brands?

I'll say this: most high-end gaming PCs are overkill for Minecraft. You can likely get a good-enough system at $800 or higher (that's a rough ballpark); you only really want more if you want ray tracing effects, 4K or other demanding visuals. A $1,200 Alienware desktop will have absolutely no problems running the game, although you won't get ray tracing (which adds more realistic lighting) with the stock GeForce GTX 1660 Super graphics card (you need any GeForce RTX card).

If it were my money and I wasn't beholden to a particular budget, here's what I would look for:

- At least 16GB of RAM (you can often customize configurations, so don't feel like you have to buy a pricey stock configuration just to get 16GB of RAM)

- A GeForce RTX 3060 or better if you want ray tracing, a GeForce 1660 or Radeon RX 5700 if you don't

- At least 512GB of SSD storage

- An AMD Ryzen 5 or Intel Core i5 CPU with at least six cores

This would be more than enough for Minecraft, and would make sure your system doesn't struggle a few years down the line. As I mentioned earlier, though, you can spend a lot less and still get a good experience with that game — 8GB of RAM, a Ryzen 3 or Intel Core i3 and most any dedicated graphics card would be plenty. I just find that it's better to invest a bit more now so that there's less pressure to buy a new system in the future.

Hope this helps!
