PC Building Help

HoneyB

Budget (including currency): Idk (USD)

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft, Call of Duty, Splitgate, Fallout 76, and more games

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):I'm trying to build a PC for average gaming (nothing crazy) that will run the games smoothly, have no problem, and without breaking the bank(maybe $1500). I'm taking any suggestions for parts that are compatible and work together well (please be specific with each part). I was thinking AMD for the CPU but I don't have any idea for the other parts. RGB is not required but I would like to have it.

Thank you

So for a bit less, I made you a PC that will be great for 1080p gaming. If you need a monitor, then get a 27" model with 1080p or 1440p and 120Hz (or more).

I found some RGB, yeah. For GPU, go to the nearest microcenter, they have them at msrp. On Newegg you pay double the price.

If you can't get a 3060 TI for around 500 to 600$, get a used RTX 2060 or a GTX 1660 for 300$ (but aim at first at the new one, then the 2060 and the 1660 as a last resort.) The 3060TI performs better then the 3060 (non TI) and therefore try to get the TI model. This rig will be great for minecraft and COD, so hope you can find a good GPU and good luck!

This is a more than solid build, which is going to give you the performance you need, at around the budget you wanted. I really wanted to go for a 2TB SSD here, because games like Call of Duty will take up 200+GB of space.

atm, the first step is just getting a GPU that is around 700$ or less for near MSRP. (key word: near MSRP)

so one of these: 3060, 6600xt, 3060ti, 6700xt, 3070/ti, RX 6800.
once you have managed to get one of these near MSRP, then you can order the rest, as the GPU atm will be the hardest component to get near MSRP.

sorry for not being specific with component choices, but given by the time you have managed to get a GPU, new stuff may have arrived on the market, or prices may have changed notably.

and some nitpicking of the other builds mentioned:

plenty of other options for 212 that are better and/or equivelent for cheaper.

id suggest avoiding due to its mediocre quality, and go with something lower wattage given you dont really need more than 650w to power anything he can get within budget.

RM if you can get something now, and if you wanna deal with the rebate.

or something like an A GF

also, dont pay 500$ for a 1660 super..........

Hopefully that was some relevant feedback for future build suggestions.
