Don't build a new system in 2021 without an SSD.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Read the first post. They're taking a 970 evo plus from their laptop.

5800X could run a little hot for a Hyper 212. As cheap as storage is now I'd get more than a 500GB HDD too, I honestly didn't know they still sold 500GB desktop drives.

I don't plan on using the hdd too much, primarily for school work and that massive meme folder but other than that i dont see myself using the hdd too often so i dont think ill need much more than 500gb, for example one of my older laptops which i used for gaming had 500gb hdd and i had plenty of cracked games installed normally averaging to about 35 gb each yet i still had plenty of space left and never rlly ran into any problems with the storage, even now I still have 450gbs free on my current 1tb ssd.

From the research ive done the Asus ROG Strix B550-F is better than the MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus and its not much more expensive so I dont see why everyone is recommending the MSI MPG mobo

I dont see where you are getting that from. They are both B550, have good VRMS (A tier) and the MPG is a bit cheaper.

I'd say that you dont need such expensive CPU just for gaming , and if you decide to actually go with 7 5800x you need to look into beefier air cooler or even AIO because as good as hyper 212 is , it's probably not going to be enough.

GPU : RTX 3070 Gaming X TRIO | CPU : Ryzen 5 7600 \ COOLER : Deepcool AK620 | MOBO : ASUS TUF Gaming B650 Plus | RAM : Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 16GBx2 6200 MHz \ Storage : Samsung 970 EVO Plus M.2 1TB \ PSU : Corsair TX750M | CASE : Be Quite! Pure Base 500DX Black

The ROG Strix has more usb 3.0 slots and wifi and is easier to overclcok, the msi mpg has more usb 2.0 slots and doesnt have built in wifi and tbh the ROG STRIX looks better imo

Not my first time I got lied to on the internet, won't be the last.

I'll be honest with you. I don't normally recommend AMD gpu's. However, with everything that's going on, they're your best shot at getting a solid gpu for an okay'ish price. Quite a few of them are actually still purchasable, and not from a stupid scalper.

Went for a beefier cpu cooler to handle the 5800X, 32GB of RAM, and a 2TB 2.5" SSD. I know you're taking the 1tb 970 evo plus from your laptop, but you could make that for whatever you want, and make the 870 QVO 2TB your game drive. Definitely will be faster than any HDD. I also went with a RGB case, with an additional fan for the back of the case. Even if you're not a fan of RGB, you can still set it to whatever color or theme you want.

Hope it helps! 🙂
