Hello, I build a new pc with an hdd from old pc's spare parts and I was trying to boot ubuntu in it but when I boot my pc I get this error (see attached image) before going to ubuntu loading screen and it keeps loading for almost an hour so I forced shut down my pc and tried changing ports but nothing changed. I want to know what factors cause this errors.

The number 1 option in boot order was the bootable usb, after I boot my pc it shows me this error for minutes then proceed to the ubuntu loading screen but its stays there and never continue to boot. I also tried linux mint, and It also shows me the same error before going to mint loading screen the good news is that it boots successfuly. when I click the install linux mint here comes the other problem. It continues the process to choose language and keyboard layout but when I click continue in the install media codec screen its just keep loading and never proceed to the next step. I'm sure my ISO was not corrupted what might be the problem here?

I'm not sure if it was my bootable usb at or my hdd is failing but the bios detects the hdd. Please help me solve this, thank you!

Well you should be able to boot linux straight from USB.

ATA HDD is currently the number 1 option in your boot order, and it fails...

Get into BIOS by repeatedly pushing F2 right after you power on the PC or whatever works on your machine and change boot order.

Its a dead HDD, you can see the problem drive as /dev/sda which is the first hard disk on the bus.
