I have bought a corsair m65 gaming mouse and fell in love it its look. I also want to buy a corsair mechanical key board because of this reason preferably the k70. However looks aren't everything. I have tried out some switches and i like reds and blues the most. I would also love a blue back lit key board. But there are so many choices it hard to decide. so i guess I'm looking for recommendations, what to look for, bad products, good overviews things like that. i tend to buy all my things on amazon so if it can be seen there the better. i also have read many reviews on amazon but it doesn't help me narrow my choices. i'm liking the price point of the k70 too so if you have a recommendation try to keep it in that range. (i'm just a student) i should probably tell you what i am upgrading from too. well idk what it is but its a dell membrane keyboard. so yep thanks

I'm sure the K70 would look amazing paired up with the M65. I know you said looks aren't all but the truth is you're making no compromises with that keyboard, it's a great upgrade from membrane. Just try to make some research as to which keyswitch you're most likely to prefer, since it's what's most important to making the typing experience enjoyable for you. If you need help picking a switch let us know :)

Cmstorm is a great brand to look at, minimalist looks, steel back plate. Really well build. Also do you want a ten key less keyboard (one with no number pad) or a regular one? I'f tenkeyless look into the corsair K65 or the CmStorm quickfire TK for the prices really, they have a great build quality and looks. If you are willing to spend more go for a ducky or something from WASD as a custom built one, they are price from WASD but they have a great warranty, customer support, and variety.

red and blue are almost 2 different switch type. well, if you want to buy k70 I guess your budget is around $130, I would buy the K70 if I were you, coz it matches with the mouse.
other suggestion around this price range with good reputation with red and blue switch and blue leds are
1. Cm storm quickfire TK blue.

2. Ducky shine 3 (available in different switch and leds)

3. Thermal take Poseidon (Blue switch blue leds)

yes i know the switches are pure opposites. one liner (red) and other tactile (blue) but those i found the most liking to. i guess i'm just a bit weird.  :P but yes both the Ducky shine 3 and K70 are top choices for me

I am planning to get a full keyboard. i work with numbers a lot in excel. To be honest i haven't heard of WASD. goes to show how shallow my reasearch has been. but looking at it it doesn't seem like a bad choice. you just pay a bit more

I would get K95, if I have the money, macro keys always come in handy even thought it's overkill for most of the people. Why didn't they make a K80 with just one row of macros?.
