So i should grab Samsung?

With the Samsung you are paying a bit for name, but you will definitely have some peace of mind that you are also getting a quality drive as well. It should be the same performance that you see in benchmarks everywhere with the advertised lifespan as no parts have been swapped out for possibly inferior ones.

This does not mean Samsung is the only brand making quality SSDs. Just several of the brands have been caught recently swapping parts, Kingston, PNY, Crucial, Adata, to name a few.

However yes, I would recommend the Samsung. I have several across the models, going back to a 850, still going strong.

On your SSD I think the clear winner is Samsung there. Kingston is another manufacturer that has been caught swapping things on SSD drives which makes me not trust them.

Between those HDD I don't think it matters much, personally I prefer WD. However for 1 TB drives I always buy the Black drives.

@OhioYJHit it right on the head. If you watch newegg's daily sales there's usually a pretty good deal running on 1TB HDDs as well.

Thanks in advance.

I would say get a 1tb budget one is better but if just for boot drive I would go with something maybe cheaper
