Help with purchasing a 1440p, 144Hz monitor!

GawZ

Hi all, I've been looking at 27", non-curved, IPS, 1440p, 144hz+ and 1ms or less monitors for under £350. It'd be mainly for gaming but there is also some video editing and programming that'll be done on it! The three I'm tempted most by are MSI G273QF, LG 27GL850-B Or the Gigabyte M27Q. Which is the best "bang for the buck", or is there any other options that I've neglected?

Thanks in advance!

I was ideally looking for an IPS display instead of a VA option just out of personal preference! AOC do some great VA and budget displays though!

Sorry, pedantic, but 2K != 1440p. It refers to the horizontal resolution, whereas 1440p is the vertical resolution. A 2K monitor would basically be 1080p as the typical 1920x1080 is effectively 2K horizontal pixels, just like 3840x2160 is effectively 4K.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X · Cooler: Artic Liquid Freezer II 280 · Motherboard: MSI MEG X570 Unify · RAM: G.skill Ripjaws V 2x16GB 3600MHz CL16 (2Rx8) · Graphics Card: ASUS GeForce RTX 3060 Ti TUF Gaming · Boot Drive: 500GB WD Black SN750 M.2 NVMe SSD · Game Drive: 2TB Crucial MX500 SATA SSD · PSU: Corsair White RM850x 850W 80+ Gold · Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow · Monitor: MSI Optix MAG342CQR 34” UWQHD 3440x1440 144Hz · Keyboard: Corsair K100 RGB Optical-Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (OPX Switch) · Mouse: Corsair Ironclaw RGB Wireless Gaming Mouse

Thank you, I was also just made aware of this by a friend too. Been staring at monitor websites for too long, brains fried!

I bought this monitor recently, it's great. The con is the lower stand leg sticks out too far and you have no room for keyboard or mouse if your table is smaller.

The LG 27GP850-B @c00face mentioned is a very good option.

Another great option would be the MSI MAG274QRF-QD. This would be my choice.

But they're both over budget.

In your budget the M27Q is the best option, but make sure the BGR panel is not something that bites you in the ass later.

Of course you can get it and try it out. In the UK you should be able to send it back if it doesn't fit your needs after all.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
