I use a USB sound card, SoundBlaster Play 4, and my headphones are the Cooler Master MH751. The Sound blaster is only 3 months old and the MH751s are about a year old now.

For the past week my brother has been using the laptop but he used the headphones with the laptop's jack and not the Play 4.

I also want to ask, can headphones remember/carry over settings from one device to another? Normal headphones not fancy wireless ones with companion apps.

Now that i come back to the laptop and plug in my headphones + Play 4 i'm experiencing distortion and can't seem to solve it.

Playing music, i notice there seems to be a lot moar bass and distortion than i want, I checked both windows and soundblaster's own app to fix things but to no avail.

Additionally there seems to be issues with my headphone left and right channels. The right earcup sounds louder than the left.

Plugging it into the normal jack sounds fine but i bought the play 4 for a reason and i want to fix the problem.
