so I have this crappy fan/rgb hub that came with my system and runs the original 6 redux/coolermaster fans and rgb(can only control fan speed/color with the little remote control). the AIO that was in the system has a different plug and connects directly to the motherboard, the system handles the pump and rgb,  I installed another 3 case fans along to top for space restrictions where the pc is located but even though they are nearly identical coolermaster fans they have different plugs for the RGB and will not connect to the hub (fan power will but not the rgb) and they also will connect directly to the board's rgb header. (the 3 new fans copy the aio RGB)

what do I need to get so that I can control all 9 fans and the AIO RGB together? preferably through the motherboard with some sort of software.

and would it be better to leave all the chassis fans together or run them off the different headers on the board?  currently the 6 all run steady 1200rpm and the 3 run off a chassis header.

the 3 fans I installed are coolermaster MF120 halo's

the original fans appear identical but with different connectors.

mobo is an asus z590

hub appears to be generic no name hub... (thanks redux)

use the case controller or use splittercables from the MB headers.

I considered using splitters to connect all of the fans directly to the mobo fan headers but the RGB plugs on the 6 fans on the hub will not connect to the mobo RGB headers. or am I missing something with the two different types on RGB plugs I have.

I have to be missing something then, the MB has a 3 pin and 4 pin connector but the 6 fans has the little 3 wire plug you can see in the picture above. is this a proprietary plug that has to be used on a specific hub?

so I found a cable in the REDUX box that allowed me to connect the VDG hub to the 2+1 aRGB header which now allows all 9 fans to sync, how can I control the aRGB header?

I have the same issue. where did you connect this too on that control board? Did you just find an empty slot.

I connected the Hub to the mobo through a splitter that was in my redux box, it connected to the same spot as the AIO cooler.

unfortunately you do have to hit the power button on the remote after every reboot or the fans controlled by the hub start a random loop instead of syncing with the rest of the fans.
