GPU 3070TI Zotac

woke up today and opened up msi afterburner to check temps on the system and ever since then the 3rd fan (last one on the right side) seems to be stuck at full or nearly full power all the time.

ive tried restarting, reinstalling drivers and tried to put fan speed from auto to 0 but only the other 2 fans shut off not the 3rd,would leaving it like this cause problems?

managed to get it to stop spinning full speed by tapping the fan in the middle whilst the gpu and pc were running, now it responds to the values added in msi afterburner very strange

anybody know what could be causing this issue is it the gpu or my system?

alright should i uninstall, would msi control the fans even if just by having it installed and not even opening the program up?

No you can still use afterburner for everything else.  Just not the fan profiling.

Turn this setting off here:

Well all fans either spin or they don't.

If one of the fans doesn't spin then it's the bearings and need to replace the fan.

Msi AB is just for more control with your fans and OSD.

But afterburner won't make your fan alive.

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

what could be causing it to spin at full power then whilst idle ?

Maybe design issue.

As long as it spins under load I wouldn't care.

well try what @YouSirAreADudeSirsaid, and if that doesnt fix it this is obviously a defect, which doesnt bode well for a new card (ie it will probably just get worse)

yeah i uninstalled msi just in case, its been about 24hrs its quiet all the time now spins up whilst playing not as much as before and quiet on desktop
