I have a Rift S personally and haven't used it in a few months personally. No real reason why. I do love VR games as it gets me up and motivated and moving around while having a TON of fun in games and exercise as well. I love the BoxVR on steam, a ton of fun.. just like Beat Saber, but you're boxing instead of swinging light sabers and working up a good sweat.

As for worth it, thats subjective. A lot of problem with Oculus right now is that its owned by Facebook and requires you to have and link your Facebook account to your Oculus account to use it. So there is a lot of Privacy concerns with it just because its Facebook.

Can't speak directly for the oculus but I do bust out my HTC vive now and then, use it for about a week or two at a time, and get some excellent exercise doing it.

When you first get your VR headset you'll likely use it for a month straight because of how much fun it is and how unique. I was addicted to Elite Dangerous for like 10 days, absolutely fantastic experience in VR.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

I have a quest two and it's definitely worth it for beatsaber alone. For me anyways. It is a great exercise and tons of fun. Plus having wireless options with pc play has been really cool.

But there are some limitations as part of the ultracheapness, and if you actually care about FB not already having all your info (for me honestly that ship sailed years ago), then that is an issue as well...

I'm also in the camp of "won't buy anything Oculus because of Faebook" however, I do enjoy my Vive. The problem I have and the reason my ends up not getting used more is space. I can't do room scale games. Even with standing only games in my office I have to be pretty careful otherwise I end up hitting things.  So while I go in spurts and play VR every so often, it seems to be every 2-3 months I break it out, rather than regularly at this point. Don't get me wrong, it's a blast, it just would be much better with more room.

So my suggestion would be consider would play area now and then think about what type of games you are looking at.

I have a Rift S. It is used about once or twice a month.

It is usually to add and test mods for SkyrimVR and Fallout 4VR so when I do another play through I will have new content.

The last game I bought was Half Life Alyx and nothing has really interest me since.

I was hoping the more older AAA titles would be converter to VR but that has not happened.

If my Rift died I would replace it with an Index since like most I have no interest in a Facebook product.
