My PC Build

LifelessX

Hey! I need some advice on if these parts would work well together. My budget is around $1,500-$1,700 USD

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming ATX AM4

RAM: Crucial Ballistix 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16

M.2 SSD: Western Digital Blue 500 GB M.2-2280

GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER 6 GB TUF GAMING OC

Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid

PSU: Corsair RM (2019) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX

I already have a monitor and a few storage drives I’ll transfer over to the new build. Thanks!

You could save some money with a B550 motherboard.

Is the graphics card one you already own?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Looks like a good build, but as previous comment says, you could go with a B550 board and save a bit.

I just looked and the b550 board doesn’t have enough fan headers for the case

There are many different types of B550 boards, from many different companies. There's probably a B550 out there with enough headers. Also, you could use fan splitters to run multiple fans off of the same header.

My only problem with fan splitters is the risk of something shorting out. Is there a certain brand you recommend?

Not necessarily, if you're worried about something shorting (which isn't very likely) you could always go with a fan controller. Assuming most of your fans are intake, you'd have the controller on the intake fans and the exhaust fan(s) would be plugged directly into the board.

Ah that’s true I didn’t even think of that. Thank you!
