Ram speed isnt reliable past 4000 mhz. for most ryzen chips youll be lucky to get past 3800 mhz stable, after that you have to unlink the infinity fabric clock since they are linked.

AKA Just run your ram at 3600 mhz and enjoy, its more stable and reliable if you can get it to run at that 😛

But i want 4800...... How do u unlink them? And will it still use the clocks of infinity fabric?

Like @Shimejiisaid Ryzen with RAM speeds above 4000 is tricky. It can work but as far as I know it's not worth the hassle as your performance doesn't scale linear with ram speed. Which means you probably won't notice much if anything in terms of performance.

Generally if you want to overclock your ram to insane speeds like 4800, 5000 or whatever you would have been better off with an intel platform. Also something higher end than an asus prime board would be beneficial.

Probably wont get 4800. My 5600X does just over 4500, and my 5900X will do 4400, but not much point after you desync. I didn't check much for stability once I saw the results.

Fast ram like that is for Intel.

To make it worth it you have to be able to run your FCLK at 2000 or better. Then you can expect latency to be in the low 60s/high 50s. Reads and and copies should go way up, and writes will go up a bit too.. that single CCD wont help you much there.

Is it stable?  You need to test for yourself to see if its worth it. Spend the time, learn a little.
