Laptop blower

Hey, im having a bit problem i have a working old dell laptop a fairly good one even having a 2nd gen i5 processor .So my problem is i got an fan error on dell diagnostic tool (fan not working ecen in high temp) so can i just attach a 4 pin 40mm fan  (12v same )on the top side of laptop blower fan ? (Doesn't care about the looks) My laptop blower part is current out of stock

check the current of the original and the replacement before trying to plug the fan in

I mean technically and physically you can but tou have to somewhat sealed the gap between those 2 fans even if you do all of that the blower blade probably going to restrict the airflow

 

Unless you want to remove the blower motor and blade and leave the housing as a "guide" for the air...

Sorry for the wrong current i post. The spec of the current blower is 5dc - 0.3a can i use 5dc-0.4a 4 pin 40mm fan
