Hi!

 my system:

rtx 3080

ryzen 9 3900xt

750w corsair

4x 8gb 2133mhz

my question is, how can i only get to an average of 140 fps in valorant deatchmatch on 1440p? i know that i need to upgrade my ram but when i see benchmarks they easily get 300+fps with a similar system

250 down 50 up

Also when i swap to 1080p its still averaging 140fps

That would make the situation worse, not better, if you're already having a CPU bottleneck. The thing to consider with Ryzen is that it's not just about the memory speed itself. The FLCK of the CPU is tied to the memory clocks. With RAM that slow, you're actually affecting the speed at which the CCDs communicate, including for things like shared cache.

Get faster ram. Ryzen CPUs like faster ram, and will perform a lot better with faster ram. I personally have 3200mhz, and it is fine. Make sure to get CL16 or less if you are getting 3200mhz ram
