I’ve just bought a brand new Insignia 40” led tv, and so far I’ve adjusted the color, brightness, contrast and backlight to my liking. But I still have to adjust the sharpness, I’ve toned it down from factory 60 to 20 (it’s out of 100).But I’m reading online, and people recommend just turning sharpness off.(I use it for gaming) I can’t tell a difference between 20 and 0. I came here to ask the minds of Linus’s forums on tips on what I should do and what to adjust.
my current settings are:

Backlight: 35

Brightness: 45

Contrast: 50

Color: 35

Advanced Settings:

Aspect ration: Normal

Dynamic Backlight: Off

Color temperature: Normal

Noise Reduction: Off

Dynamic Contrast: Off

Normally i research whatever sharpness setting will disable the feature, as it introduces artifacts i personally don't want. Sharpenin basically make your picture look more "cartoony".

For some TV's setting it to 0 disables it. And 100 will be oversharpened.

For some TV's it's at 50 and essentially disabled. Setting it to 0 here will make the picture blurrier. 100 will be oversharpened.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
