Use the 5Ghz band?

 

The 2.4 is probably just littered with other signals.

Any new devices in your home? Bluetooth in particular? Microwaves, smart home devices, wifi cameras, wireless mouse / keyboard etc. These have all been known to cause 2.4 congestion or dropouts. Also make sure your router isn't bogging down due to qos options. Qos implementation on run off the mill routers is usually crap, I usually suggest not using it.
