RAM compatibility

Hello there!

I was planning on purchasing VENGEANCE® RGB PRO 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM.

Now, I have a few questions:

  1. Would the mentioned RAM (VENGEANCE® RGB PRO 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3200MHz C16 Memory Kit) support ASUS PRIME B350-PLUS motherboard with a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU
  2. What speed would you guys recommend to use with the mentioned CPU - 3000Mhz, 3600Mhz, something less?

Thanks!

You can check the QVL list for the motherboard to make sure, but generally Vengeance kits are fairly universal.

This one for example says

VENGEANCE® RGB PRO 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz C15 Memory Kit — Black (corsair.com)

Based on below, it will not support AMD boards??

Thanks!

That's what it was tested on. I don't really believe the packaging.

They're usually fairly universal like @Slottrmentioned. That being said, if you're worried about only going by parts on the QVL list, no.

The part number for that RAM is and there are no "CMW" on the QVL for that motherboard with a 2000 series. "CMW16GX4M2C3200C16"

That being said, Corsair does say it should work. They're more likely to have tested the RAM with an older CPU and board I think than Asus retesting the board with ram that could have come out later.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.
