help with disk space issue

Go to solution Solved by Electronics Wizardy,

Try a program like windirstat to see where the files are?

It probably extracts to a temp folder first, then copies to the drive.

So I downloaded a pretty big file as a .zip file, and i extracted it. a few minutes later before it was done windows notified me saying i have a disk space issue and i was confused so i checked my space and i foudn that my C: drive was literally left with 20 Mbs of space and i didnt know what happened, then i came to realization that i extracted the big files in the wrong drive, the drive that didn't have enough space so then i tried the delete the files that i extracted (i extracted them in the desktop) and i found no files but it was still taking space. is there any way i can clean it? or delete it? please help.unknown.png

this, but i'd suggest just running disk cleanup first. if that gets rid of it, that's a quick fix, and it'll probably clean up some other unnecessary stuff too on the way.

already doing this, all it found was 6GBs and it was all from the windows update trash files so it certainly did not find the files that i extracted
