4Gb File limit

I can't archive anything larger than 4gb in my synology nas (ds231j) using samba, the windows transfer just sits at 0mb/sec and then gives an error after a while.

I'm using 2x2tb hdd in RAID 1
I've tried all settings but i still have that problem

Is the file system set up as FAT32? FAT32 has a 4GB limit on firesize…

It's automatically using ext4

Is windows for some reason seeing it as fat32?

Off hand I don’t either. And I am not a synology user so I am not sure how to check how it’s presenting SMB shares. Possibly could be a setting in the shares settings.
