Im upgrading my friends cpu from Pentium G3260 to an I5 4590

His specs:

8gb 1600mhz

R7 250 1gb

Asus H81M-R

And his current cpu which i wanna upgrade from g3260 to i5 4590

 

Just making shoure if it will work.

It's compatible. Just make sure your PSU has enough wattage to run this more power hungry chip. (84W vs 53W for the Pentium)

Is the 8 gb 1 stick or 2 sticks of ram?

Cause 1 stick = single channel and that cripples cpu performance

 

Btw if you can upgrade the ram to 16gb
