ROG Strix SCAR 17

Hey all, I would like to know if rog strix scar 17 laptops are good? Would you recommend another brand? the one I'm interested in has an RTX 3080 and Ryzen 9 5900HX processor with 32GB of ram.

I'm in Mexico and after checking online (same specs), I think this laptop is approximately $1000 USD more expensive here. Is it normal for Asus to overprice their products in some countries, specially Mexico?
