intergrated webcams on linux

New to linux downloaded Pop OS after Anthony's video.I have been getting lost/confused searching the internet trying to figure out how to get my laptops integrated camera to work.

 

Anyone have any detailed guides? webcam is enabled in BIOS, Pop os support guide didn't work either. Anything else I find seems like partial instructions or meant for more advanced linux users.

I never had to install drivers for laptop cameras, what device do you have?

its a Toshiba satellite l40d-b  no model number is pskrgc 001001

Have you checked to see if your webcam shows up in GNOME Cheese, if it's not installed check the Pop Shop.

cheese is installed is that the same as gnome cheese?

 

UPDATE

 

I can not find GNOME cheese in pop shop. looks like the Cheese I have installed is by GNOME. when I open the app it says "no device found"
