Take off the heatsink, remove thermal paste, dunk it in 99% isopropyl alcohol for an hour or 2, then leave it to dry for 24 hours

 

This has worked very well for cleaning mobo sockets and reviving them in my experience

 

 

My first gpu is a 9500gt which for some reason does not have any drivers or just doesnt wanna install drivers

 

It works but only as a display adapter cause no drivers

First graphics was whatever came onboard with my Tandy 1000 8mhz 286.

 

First graphics card I purchased was an Nvidia Riva 128 4MB + 2x Voodoo 2's

 

First "GPU" as in with hardware T&L was the Nvidia GeForce 2 GTS 32MB
