My first PC Build

Go to solution Solved by Fasauceome,

Swap the i5 for an i7, and cut the cooler (the i7 and i9 non-K models come with a decent cooler compared to Intel's normal stock cooler) and get a bit better of a PSU, as well as fast NVMe storage. Your ram is also a bit flashy.

PCPartPicker Part List: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/GvGxwz

CPU: Intel Core i7-10700F 2.9 GHz 8-Core Processor  (£252.00 @ Amazon UK

Motherboard: ASRock B560M Pro4 Micro ATX LGA1200 Motherboard  (£107.48 @ Amazon UK)

Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory  (£139.97 @ Amazon UK)

Storage: Sabrent Rocket Q 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive  (£109.99 @ Amazon UK)

Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB Video Card  (£599.99 @ Amazon UK)

Case: Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L MicroATX Mini Tower Case  (£48.95 @ Amazon UK)

Power Supply: be quiet! System Power 9 500 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  (£47.66 @ Amazon UK)

Monitor: MSI Optix G24C4 23.6" 1920x1080 144 Hz Monitor  (£159.99 @ Amazon UK)

Keyboard: Razer Huntsman Tournament Edition RGB Wired Gaming Keyboard

Mouse: SteelSeries Rival 650 Wireless Wireless Optical Mouse

Total: £1466.0

I squeezed in a 3060 which will be really useful if you need more ram for your renders. It's a great tool for editing and a straight upgrade from the 2060 in every regard. Of course, availability may vary.

Budget (including currency): £1500

Country: England

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Premier Pro, photoshop/light gaming.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

PC Part Picker list link: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/XT7vrr

I would just like to know if these components are a good choice

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

So I made an AMD Alternative. Squeezed in a Ryzen 7 3700X 8 Core with included cooler. I would upgrade that later down the line.

I swapped some peripherals because the keyboard and mouse were on the pricier side and I would personally spent more on the pc for better performance.

Also squeezed in a 3060, something that will benefit you in the future for rendering and stuff.

I upgraded the boot drive to a drive with cache, something important if you use it for the OS.

The black ram was more expensive, so white it is.

I would also consider different monitor if you are going edit videos, the color calibration out of the box on the model you have chosen is poor (unless you can calibrate it yourself)

Do you mind giving me any options for monitors

If you haven't got the parts yet, I would recommend using a better motherboard. The Pro4 will do, but there are better options for the 10700. The MSI B560M PRO-VDH WIFI or MSI MAG B560M BAZOOKA I think would be better options. If it's available at a good price the MSI MAG B460M MORTAR or MSI MAG B560M MORTAR WIFI, has always been known to be good value.

Also if you're using 10 series on B560, the top m.2 slot will not work.
