 -Hi

So i tried HDMI and DP from both my gpu and mobo and the monitor says no signal and goes into power saving mode.

My setup:

Asus Maximus IX Hero

I7 9770K

Geforce 1080 GTX

16 GB of GSKiLL DDR4 RAM

Seasonic Prime Platinum PSU

I am building a custom watercooling loop to have more space to bend tubes etc i removed the GPU and the Noctua CPU cooling block. Disconnected the fans aswell.

After i was done i replaced the CPU thermal paste put everything back together and now this happens.

I am not sure if the PC is actually booting but the gpu and cpu fans spin.

I've been messing around with pcs for 15 years building them and whatnot i encountered many problems along the way and always managed to diagnose and/or fix problems but here i am clueless.

Any suggestions ?

Best regards and thank you

So looking over the user manual, code 55 is for Memory not installed.

Weird i didn't touch the RAM i'll try to reseat it

it oculd also be a problem with the mounting pressure if your CPU block. 99% of blocks these days have proper tension springs to prevent from over tightening, so you should in theory be tightening it down all the way until it does not spin anymore. If its not like this, it could be that its not making proper contact with the pins below the CPU. Conversely, if a cooler does not have these and you overtighten, you could damage the CPU and/or board as a result.

ty for your help so far!

You're welcome. Take pictures and examine the pins under the CPU too to make sure none are bent or damaged.

So i managed to solve it, i only insert one ram thing and turned on the pc while pressing MEM-OK then everything worked. Then i simply turned the pc off inserted 2nd ram piece and it worked fine.

The problem still persited trying to boot by using only one ram piece without pressing MEM-OK and pressing MEM-OK with 2 both RAM pieces inserted didn't work either.

Strange. Once you get it to successfully go with both sticks, does it work as intended and allow you to boot/post without having to hit the mem OK button?
