Hi, so like 6 months ago I bought a new CPU(AMD Ryzen 7 2700X), after replacing my old CPU(Ryzen 3 2200g) with the new one, I noticed a strange sound, a strange fan sound variation and I knew it's the CPU because it never happened before. Then, when I checked the MSI afterburner I saw a strange fan curve, for example the CPU could have 40 degrees then in less than a second it reaches 55 degrees, then it chills to 40 and reaches 55 degrees again, and it repeats this process again and again... The problem is the annoying sound, that annoying temperature variation.1894349243_Screenshot(872).png.1fad20ae5586180cd4ebc2677c04390b.png

This strange temperature variation never happened with the old CPU.

How can I solve this and get a stock temperature?

Here are some of my specs:

GPU:ASUS Expedition Radeon RX 570 OC edition 4GB GDDR5

CPU:AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Eight-Core Processor, base clock 3.7GHz.

RAM:KINGSTON HyperX Fury black 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR4

PSU: COOLER MASTER MasterWatt Lite 500W PC power supply.

Motherboard:ASUS Prime B450-A black.

Thanks for suggestions !

That could be a problem with CPU fan

If the main issue is the noise of the fan changing speeds rapidly, you could modify the fan curve so that doesn't happen. If you use a really shallow curve, the difference in speed won't be as stark.

Or, you can pick a speed level where the noise doesn't bother you and have that be the constant speed until the temperature gets pretty high, like 75C or something, where it then hops up to 100%. So the only times that would happen are when the CPU is getting quite warm.

yeap thats ryzen cpu fan curves for ya! the good news is you can fix it with a custom fancurve. The bad news its annoying as heck. The worst news? this will never eliminate it fully.

Ask me why i bought  a noctua cooler. hint: finally "silence" 😄
