Referenced memory could not be read

Hi.. Alright let me try to make this clear.. I just installed windows on an ssd after the windows on my hdd got corrupt for this same reason thought a fresh install would fix the problem.. and it did for about 3 days but today it happened again on the new drive and fresh install.. skype.exe gets a critical error message and the computer goes non responsive.. but doesnt blue screen but everything stops programs go blank no cursor etc.. the error message I get is "The instruction at 0x01afd0ca referenced memory at 0x00000014. The memory could not be read. Click ok to terminate program" which I cant because everything hangs.. could this be a bad processor memory or ram? windows 7 btw. any help would be great this is 2 different drives with fresh installs this is happening on.

first thing I would do is check each RAM stick one at a time with Memtest86+... if its all clear then we can move on. (I doubt its the processor as it would not work at all)

Secondly

 

If the RAM is ok is do a quick "SFC /SCANNOW" from windows command prompt as admin. If you get errors such as "but could not fix them all".

 

Try checking the state of the recovery partition by running "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth" If that reports errors go onto running this command "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth"

and make sure it says the corruption was fixed

 

After all that RUN "sfc /scannow" a good 2-3 times.

im not using the corrupted windows its a fresh install on a healthy ssd.. but for ram.. where do i get memtest.. can I use the memory test on the windows cd?

If anyone knows error codes that not pretty much tell exactly where the problem is..? such if this ia the error code for ram?

A memory reference error is likely to be the ram, but it could also be software corruption or some other bit of hardware.

the ssd is brand new with a fresh os install the video card is also brand new so.. ill assume its the ram for now.
