Motherboard Options

I got a new build planned for myself, and I want to know your thoughts on which of my choices I should buy. I am fully aware that I only have two choices that are extremely similar. I have a Ryzen 9 5900X 12-core CPU that I want to put. I also will have Precision Boost Overdrive enabled but I will not be doing any overclocking. Which of these options are the best?

 

Asus ROG Strix B550-E Gaming

Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming

You’re describing VRM requirements.  Both chipsets have boards that will handle it.  VRM specs are higher for b550 than x570 but there were a bunch of x570 boards built to handle it .

 

I suggest checking the Motherboard tierlist for specific models.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.
