I just made my first pc, the lights are on, the fans are spinning just the monitor wont turn on. I have been watching videos for an hour or two trying to get it to post and I have had to luck.

Have you plugged an Video Port for a GPU?

I dont know, i tried to both plug it into the video port on the motherboard and the graphics card, both did not post

What motherboard do you have?

That motherboard has a QLED screen in the lower right corner.  What is the code this is displaying.

if you mean the one that flashes red, it goes from 1-99 very fast and then roughly after 10-20 seconds later it stops and no red numbers appear. @Skiiwee29

now that I am watching videos about the code, I guess its normal for it to flash to multiple numbers before settling on either a number or no number, and mine does not show one. @Skiiwee29

Do you have the power plugged into your GPU?

Shouldn't be. Can you take pictures of all the connectors on your board and GPU and as well as your rear IO and post them so we can see?

btw, is it fine to plug the cpu pump into a cpu fan header, i was watching videos and was told to plug it into cpu opt but couldnt find it, i looked around and it said i was fine to plug it into the cpu fan header, i would just need to adjust some things

ok, so you have the HDMI cable plugged into your Motherboard, not the GPU... Plug it into the HDMI port on your GPU. You should plug at least one thing into the CPU header, otherwise your BIOS will throw an error at you for no CPU fan detected.

you don't need to plug any type of video cable into your Motherboard. That is only if your CPU has onboard graphics, which the Ryzen 5 3600 does not.

great, now i have come across another problem, when i boot up the monitor and everything it says reboort and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key @Skiiwee29do you know how to fix this?

Can you get into your BIOS? Sounds like it may not be recognizing your drive you have installed. Does the drive have windows installed on it yet?

I checked and it is recognizing the drive but i dont know if it has windows on it or not. @Skiiwee29
