Home ethernet taking name of access point

Weird issue, but I have a Ubiquiti UniFi access point and for some reason my ethernet from other computers are taking the name from the access point. Any ideas?

Completely normal, since it's basically on the same network anyway.

Well guess it acts as main router, and thats now your network name.

You need to fork over some more info on your network lay-out to get an actual usable answer.

What kind of info, I basically just have my fios router and the UniFi access point attached. Along with that I have a couple desktops connected through ethernet

Yes that.
But since networks can have so many different forms, the more info the better. Cus it does matter how its connected even.
 

 

If you have your network setup as in picture (modem being your fios router and the router being your wifi AP) the router (in your case wifi AP) would act as main router for your internal network. Unless you set it up not to.

Yea so in my case the desktops are connected directly to the modem (the fios box which is also handles wifi for some of my house) and the router is connected to the modem only.
