Minecraft java is causing my internet to crash

Hi there,

Recently my friends and I decided to start playing Minecraft again and everything was going fine for the first day or so, but when I logged on the next day my game kept crashing saying java.net.SocketException: Connection Reset and all of the internet on my network would go down for at least a minute before just coming back to life. This would happen every time I tried playing on my friends server at random intervals, sometimes I could play for an hour and sometimes I couldn't even play for more than 5 seconds.

I have tried everything I can think of to fix this problem, I've restarted my router, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, reinstalled and updated java, switched the server to a realm, updated all my drivers including my network drivers, changed the DNS server that my computer was using, tried running it on an older version of java, messed with some game files so they would reinstall themselves when I rebooted the game, I even tried playing on a completely different computer, but no matter what I try it still crashes and I cant figure out why its doing this. I looked online to find solutions and tried everything I could find in forums and I'm still having issues. If you have any ideas of how to fix this problem I would love the help.

Thanks in advance
