Hello there, I'm based in uk, building a new gaming pc.

MAx Budget £2500 to £3.000

Gaming and Sreaming at 1440

I don't care about the look of the pc or the xmas lights just need something efficient.

I'd like something that can last for quite a few years and I want Air cooling, therefore looking at AMD Ryzen 9 as processor and RTX 3080Ti as Video card.

Here what I came up with on Pc part picker...Please keep in mind I don't know what I'm doing. Help to try and reduce the cost would be appreciated

AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 3.5 GHz 16-Core Processor

Noctua NH-D15S chromax.black 82.51 CFM CPU Cooler

MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard

Crucial Ballistix 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory

Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive

MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12 GB GAMING X TRIO Video Card

Phanteks Eclipse P360A ATX Mid Tower Case

EVGA G3 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Microsoft Windows 10 Home Full 32/64-bit

Many thanks

Kimi

Is this for gaming or are you gonna do any streaming, video editing, blender, etc?

Cause 8 cores is enough for gaming and 12 cores is for streaming

...Budget? Honestly, itll be a good 2200-2500$ build as is with the only switch being a better 850W PSU (like RM850 or Enermax Revolution D.F 850) and an actual B550 board to clear out of the box compatibility rather than updating at the store, but without a clear budget its unclear.

First off what resolution and framerate are you trying to play at?

I wouldn't buy a 3080ti unless you need the performance now. If you get a 3070 for $600, then you could get a 4070 or 5070 later down the line for ~$600. The 4070 would have around 3080ti performance and if you waited longer the 5070 would have a nice performance bump. You can also sell the old card for a couple hundred so it would come out a lot cheaper than just getting a 3080ti. Also xx70 cards use less power and will be quieter than the 350w 3080ti.

Not sure what 5th amd cpu prices are in EU but I'd look at those. I'd definitely go with a b550 over b450. You'll get pcie gen 4 which today doesn't make a real difference, but could in a couple years. Everything else looks fine

trying to keep the price down as the CPU and gpu are already taking most of it.

Another mediocre pcpartpicker list by me .-.

Idk why the b550a pro is so cheap, its usually a 10-20$ diff in price to the tomahawk but since you arent gonna oc it should be fine for your needs

1000w psu for futurproofing

32gb ram for your streaming and vid editing needs

Cheap mesh case to keep costs low while having good airflow

Gpu is up to you

I would wait for gpu prices to return to some normality, as £1300 is way overpriced for an RTX 3080. The 3080 is also better value for money than the 3080 ti. At 1440p there isn't much difference.

The Fuma 2 should be around £20 cheaper, but it is out of stock at overclockers.

No probs. The best way to get a gpu at the minute is with a pre-built system. So you have places like Overclockers uk, Aria (Gladiator) and Scan etc. If you do decide to go down this route then make sure to check what psu and motherboard etc you are getting, as sometimes they skimp on certain components.
