Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a fan controller for my 3 AF140's and AF120. I picked out the Scythe KQ01 and a LIAN-LI PT-FN . First of all - can these fan controllers control non-PWM fans ? And secondly which is better ?? I really don't care about looks since it will be tucked away in a 3,5" tool less drive bay in my Corsair 350D. I've notice the Lian-Li goes down to 20% the voltage level unlike the Scythe which only goes to 40%

Which is better ?? Thnx !

I have a scythe kaze master, which is a 5.25" fan controller. works fine for me.

Also you can control non-pwm fans with it. should be fine.

Well it only ranges from 5,6V to 12V unlike the Lian-Li which goes from 3,6V-12V... Is this a signuficant factor ?? :o

That really depends on your fans. If fans can run under 5V then Lian-Li is better. Personally I'd vote against Scythe but since you aren't probpably gonna tune it all the time, it should do fine. Its bit DIY style package since you have to put knobs on it yourself. And there's only tiny scratch to show how much power is going in.

Yeah I have 3 AF140's and an AF120 so I think they cab. What I need to know is if the 20% difference in minimal voltage is significant....
