Card could be DoA.

Silly question: is all of the power plugged in?

Yes all the power connectors are plugged in

Yes all the power connectors are plugged in

I would say the card could be dead. Every other card before the 7970 worked just fine? If that's the case, file for an RMA and get a new one (sadly, that will take a while).

But still wait to see what other people say

MSI

RMA it. Send them an email or something. If they can't fix it, ask for a replacement or money back. Lawfully they have to replace it (in most countries). Seems just like a faulty card...

Flip the 2ndary bios switch and see if it helps.

also try different power leads

make sure the PCI-E 8 pin is making proper contact and the 2 pin part isnt pulling out.

Make sure bios is set to AUTO or pci-E for video.

make sure you dont have a 2ndary video hookup to the onboard video.

if all of this still results in same issue..

RMA gpu.

also make sure you have enough power from your PSU.

Sadly nothing worked.

I tried on 3 Other motherboards and nothing.

All my older cards work Even my Evga 9800 gx2 which also has One 8 pin and 6 pin connector worked fine.

So my last resort is to return it.

Thanks Everyone for your help!
