Error loading operating system

Hi. I have this old pc that i havent worked on in like a month. And today i tried to turn it on and it displayed a error code saying Error loading operaying system. I remember trying to fix it but i just couldnt figure it out. I was suspicious about the hard drive but it is recognized in the bios and there are no clicks. Im pretty sure it has a operating system installed.
