Are the HD 599 a good headphone for the price, I'm mostly looking for something that's comfortable and has good audio quality.

I would say sennheisers 5 something series is good overall. Although it depends on what you listen to, what you play etc.

The 599 is pretty decent for the price but for the same price if your in the US the HD 58x is a better pick imo not as comfortable but when the pads break in they get much more comfortable or for a bit more money than the 599 the hd6xx is a better headphone in general but does need an amp. If your in Europe. The beyerdynamic tygr and akg k612 imo are better options
