Hi guys! I’m a rookie and I built my very first pc a few weeks back.

SPECS:

ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING II

Ryzen 5 3600

2X8 PNY XLR8 RAM 3200mhz

Zotac 1660ti

Seasonic 620w bronze

I was in the middle of a game when my pc just crashed. It booted to instruct me to boot into my last known good config. I tried hitting ENTER as instructed but it wouldn’t do anything. I restarted and now it won’t boot to windows. I tried everything. It won’t boot to windows through a USB installer, a different boot drive etc. I even reset the crtc by removing the mobo battery and returning it. I did everything the internet said but still. It just boots to the ROG logo and then it’s stuck there. What do I do? Please I’m panicking.

try flashing your bios that helps with problems. go to this website to grab your latest bios https://rog.asus.com/us/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b450-f-gaming-ii-model/helpdesk_bios          then put it on a usb flash drive, then run the bios renamer then plug into your flashback port then hold down the button. if you need a tutorial watch this

a. That title isn't really helping anyone, in fact, some members will simply avoid the topic because of it.

b. If that 620W PSU is an old S12 it must be like 7 years old by now, if by crashed you mean it suddenly turned off then that could be the cause.

Reset the CMOS again and try using a PS2 keyboard to get into the setup again, some mobos refuse to work with USB keyboards before POST. Is there any debug LEDs lit up or is the mobo beeping? That could help.

Oh sorry about the title. Thought shorter was better😅 I already reset the CMOS, to no avail. BIOS boot prio is set correctly. S12 evo for the psu but I bought a brand new one though. LED on mobo goes white, orange then green sometimes. Sometimes it just doesn’t turn on. No beep.

I’m kinda scared to flash the bios coz where I live, there’s a regular power outage everyday and randomly too. Sometimes, just once but most days hits up to 5 times.

Have you changed anything in your bios lately. Such as turn on or off secure boot turn on tpm or something like that.

If you have dont anything change it back. And just reset the whole bios settings.

If you have regular power outages listen to this. A bios flashback usually only takes 5-10 minutes AND one reason why bios flashback is so popular is because you can update your bios even if you can’t boot into the computer and it can fix a corrupt bios. So if your power goes out during the flash and corrupts the bios you can try flashing it again when the power is back and it will un corrupt your bios so it will be just like new.
