I disagree. The op would be better with a 5600X or 5800X if there is any money left.

Also why does he need a 1000W psu ?

It really is, but I appreciate the help. Got a question about the monitor though, how does it compare against other monitors like the Samsung G5. As there's quite a large price difference

He can upgrade to a 3090 or something in the future without having power bottlenecks. Also I've checked the 3900xt have 12 cores and 3.6 and the 5600x and 5800x has only 6 and 8 cores.

If this is helpful here is a comparison between the G5 and the m27q by rtings https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tools/compare/samsung-odyssey-g5-lc27g55t-vs-gigabyte-m27q/17883/19668?usage=3623&threshold=0.10

You can compare any other monitor and take what it you are comfortable with. If I had to choose I will. Choose the m27q.

Why would he upgrade to a 3090 ? By the time that gpu is at a sensible price there will be much better ones out.

A 6 core is more than fine if he is just gaming. If you look at gaming benchmarks the 5600X is faster. Might not be much at 1440p with a 3060 but still a gap nonetheless.

Idk. He set the budget as 2000 dollars so I just gave the best for his budget. And sorry I didn't know about the benchmarks.  And I gave the 1000 watts psu for upgradability for future. If there's better gpus coming what change does it make he can be prepared.
