Hi there, I hope you guys can help me with a little doubt I've been having.

The thing is, my main PC is used by both my little brother and me (with 2 separate accounts), and as my hardware allows it, I have a large list of programas that autorun when the system boots up. However, my brother doesn't use/need many of these programs: he's more of a basic user. In addition, sometimes if my brother gets on the PC first and logs in into his account, some programas will start at his account and not at mine later, so I have to finish his session and then start mine for these apps to run in my account.

The question is: is there a way of choosing which applications will start when booting depending on the account selected?

Thx a lot :)

1. Open Run

2. Type shell:startup and hit enter

If you want to add a startup program then just drop the shortcut inside the folder

If you want to remove a startup program then just delete the shortcut from the folder.

Go to windows menu.

Search up 'System Configuration'.

Go to the 'Startup' tab.

Staring Disabling things you don't want at startup.

(Don't worry about unchecking essential programs. None of them are)

Select 'OK'.

Well you might want to consider some being essential to programs you want to work.

It doesn't disable the programs inherently. It just stops them from starting up with Windows.

I've disabled everything before without a hitch.
