Budget (including currency): 1100€ (could be a bit more if it's really worth it)

Country: Italy

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (e.g. Cyberpunk, Sekiro, Control), streaming and a bit of video editing (I don't plan to edit anything with an higher resolution of 1080p)

Other details:

Hi there!

I'm a newbie in PCs and the thing I'm struggling with the most is the GPU, 'cause I don't really understand what would be best for me. I plan to build when GPUs prices are going to return to somewhat normal, so feel free to suggest anything that you think could work better if the stock price fits within the budegt (the GPU price in my build is the stock one, not the current one).

Also let me know if anything else could be changed! (Please note I'd like a mobo compatible with the new generation of Ryzen).

Here's what I chose so far:

Overall a pretty solid build. Other than Cyberpunk (you'd really be stretching a 2060, since it's just a 1660 with RT cores), you'll get good gaming performance for 1080p. I'd personally go with a different case but it'd mainly be for looks. The 3600 is still a solid chip and if it's anything like my 3700x it'll rip through any video you throw at it. I might switch the hard drive for a 7200rpm but either way you're still dealing with hard-drive levels of performance.

I'm not really interested in ray tracing, so I'll gladly take your advice and downgrade to a 1660 (if it ever returns availabile).

I'm thinking of customizing the case, so I just went for the cheapest one I could find that still had a fan and dust filters xD

i WOULDNT TAKE THAT ADVICE!

The 160 is around 25% slower than the 2060.

The 2060 is a better in terms of CUDA and memory and is a bit faster (I was wrong, thanks @Downkey), so you might still want to go with a 2060 (plus, you get features like Nvidia Broadcast).

The 1660 Ti and 2060 are similar spec wise, but the 1660 is missing many features and cores compared to the 2060.

1660 has no tensor cores, so no DLSS. The 2060 has way more CUDA cores, which help with productivity, and FPS.

Btw are you gonna be doing any overclocking in the future?

For now I don't plan to, I'm too inexperienced and for the use I'll do I don't think I'll need it (but feel free to correct me if you think I might benefit from it)

https://it.pcpartpicker.com/list/hn8msX

Heres a half decent list by me .-.

Yeeted : case

upgraded : cpu, motherboard, cooler, maybe ssd

mobo has been changed to b450 tomahawk max for better ocing if you want to get into that cause better vrms

cooler has been upgraded to an arctic freezer 34 (not duo), will suffice for abit of ocing but if you wont do any ocing just turn on pbo aka auto oc and this cooler will suffice for that

cpu has been upgraded to 3700x, not as good as 5600x in gaming, but for games that can utilise 8 cores and your streaming and video editing, this will work better than a 6 core, and yea will definitly benifit from ocing

ssd swapped for p5 instead of p2 cause higher speeds but maybe swap it for an sn550 or p1/p2 and upgrade the psu to a gold psu instead of a bronze psu

this looks like a downgrade overall...

8 core will be better for streaming than a 6 core but a 6 core is best for max gaming performance here, best of both worlds is 5800x tho thats just too expensive here

Yea rubbish psu

Case yeeted and just added case fans as compensation xD

Unless if im being stupid and not paying any attention, your list doesnt seem to have a cpu cooler so i guess if op decides to oc, pbo auto oc, or not oc at all, the cooler will be better than the stock cooler

Though i forgot what cooler the 3700x came with, if its a wraith spire than big upgrade, if its a wraith prizm than just yeet the cooler i put in the list cause prizm is enough even for some minor overclocking and pbo
