ITX build check

Country: Denmark

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Inventor and different AAA games

Other details: I will be moving over my RX 580 and SSDs to the new build

 

CPU: 5900X

CPU cooler: BeQuiet Dark Rock TF
PSU: Corsair SFX SF750

Ram: G.Skill TidentZ Neo 32gb 4000MHz CL18

Motherboard: GIGABYTE B550I AORUS PRO AX

Case: Lian Li TU150
I am not really sure about the motherboard, I can also get a Gigabyte X570i Aorus pro wifi or a Strix b550-i/X570-i. I am planning on getting a 3070 or 3080 next year.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

I've only built ITX for the past few generations. 

 

I'm currently using the Asus Strix B550-i and am really quite happy with it. Then again, when I was in the market they all looked great as there really wasn't that many B550 ITX boards of this caliber. 

 

Really it just comes down to the featureset then maybe software. Some have an USB-Type C header and some don't, etc...

Looks solid but down the RAM to 3200mhz cl16 or 3600mhz cl16 , For the MB b550 aorus or strix will be enough no need for x570

any reason to get CL16 3600 over CL18 4000? It costs the same for me

I took a look at a TU150X picture...
Are you sure, the BeQuiet Dark Rock TF fits with the rear exhaus fan?
ITX mainboards are 170x170mm.
BeQuiet Dark Rock TFs width is 163 mm.

Honestly I just went for the biggest cooler with the best ram clerance, since it is a small pc and a relatively warm CPU

Here is a picture of a TU150X with a Dark Rock Pro 4. It fits with almost no gap to the rear exhaust fan.

Dark Rock Pro 4's width is is 146 mm.

BeQuiet Dark Rock TF is 140x163x131mm so it can fit or cant, depending on the orientation, I think.
