Hello. Recently I bought an LG 27GL63T-B HDR10 display to my Lenovo Legion Y520 laptop. I know it might sound silly, but I planned on using it in my future setup and to use it with my ps4. At first everything worked well, I could extend my displays and everything, but I decided to turn on HDR (bad idea). After turning it on my 2nd display went black (LG one) and my laptop display started changing resolutions and doing weird things, so I unplugged my 2nd display. Later I got out of the situation by pressing widows key + p. When I checked the settings HDR was off for 2nd display, but when I tried to extend or display only on the 2nd display, situation was happening once again (screen went black and my laptop screen started doing weird things). Worth mentioning I can duplicate display from laptop with no problems and I am using HDMI as my laptop doesn't have DP input.

Could sound like some drivers were messing / needs updating.

Since you have a Lenovo laptop; have you tried running System Update?

I didn't, although I checked GeForce Experience for newest Nvidia drivers (I have GTX 1060 with max-Q Design in my laptop)

I will do it right now and come back here with the results

Oh, alright, well good thinking with checking the Nvidia drivers. Maybe look at the latest changelog for the latest driver and look at the current known issues. Maybe it's a known issue.

But yeah, try System Update anyway. Actually a fairly good software Lenovo have made IMO 🙂

It didn't work. But I also noticed weird thing. Windows shows that HDR streaming is on on my laptop display when it is off.image.png.59c4d3dc77e203423e52423c651f8022.pngimage.thumb.png.32a3e8a9cc47e6daa63d6e7f4975fba1.png

Alright. Not really sure why it bugs out then...

Yes, you can enable the "Stream HDR video" on SDR displays. I'm not really sure what it does... But it is "normal" hehe.
