So I live in Bangladesh, and turn out most of my local retailers still have graphics card! I believe not only did the miners buy out the cards, but so did these local stores buy them out for selling at their own shop! One of the stores (online ofc). A variety of graphics card such as RX6000 series and 3000 series nVIDIA GPUs are in stock, at kind of reasonable prices once you convert the local currency to USD or your own currency! Maybe this is the same case with other local vendors in South East Asia and other places from where Tech Youtube isnt really focused on! Some examples of websites are Startech.com.bd and techlandbd.com. I dont know the safety but Startech has their own PC Builder, and my friend bought their pc from their prebuilt, no extra costs or anything! I wouldnt suggest that outside of Bangladesh though, just order the cards. At this rate, buying a ticket to Bangladesh, buying a GPU, buying a hotel and going back to your own country would be cheaper than buying off a scalper. Not alot in stock, but alot of upcoming stuff and products! One of my friends even bought a 3070, working fine in his build!

Sources:

https://www.startech.com.bd/component/graphics-card?sort=p.price&order=DESC (GPU Section of the website.)

https://www.techlandbd.com/pc-components/shop-graphics-card (GPU section.)

2nd website is partnered with ASUS, HP, msi etc so they get their source directly.

If you have a friend in the country, or you can afford to pay someone in the country / pay someone to go there, order the GPU and bring it back to you, then you could probably pull it off.

Hope this makes it into a LTT video, can be really useful.

or you could just... not buy one if you can't justify the price, like a sane person

there's also regional warranty BS to deal with, not fun

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

-> Moved to Graphics Cards

***

Hate to break this to you, but the cards have been available on shelfs for months at this point. For the first 2-3 months there was issues with availability, now it's just more about basics of supply and demand. Supply low, demand high means either high prices or empty shelves.
