Hardware reserved memory

Alright

So I basically something in windows is making it so I can only use half of my ram

I have no clue what

But it’s not a physical ram problem

Both sticks work individually

I have two slots for ram in my mobo

And I have tried going into my boot settings

IGPUs and APUs reserve system memory for the gpu.  Sometimes intel chips will reserve it anyway even if you’re not using the gpu in the cpu.

I don’t even remember hearing of a 2300x before the lowest I thought ryzen+ went was 2400x. The x series stuff isn’t supposed to have an apu though. The stuff with apus is generally marked g not x.  I don’t think a 570 will push 1080@144hz under a whole bunch of circumstances.  That even applies to 580s, which a 570 emphatically is not.  Something is not right.

No I haven’t I’m still learning stuff about PCs rn and I’m a bit afraid if I go into my bios I will screw something up

You can't screw anything by just browsing through menus. And BIOS ask if you want to save settings on exit. I have too old hardware to give more hand, sadly.

problem still occurs memtest says ram is fine
